Most women don’t come to me because they “don’t know what to eat.”

They come because they’re exhausted from doing all the right things — eating well, trying diets, cutting back, starting again — and still not feeling good in their body anymore.

They’re tired of the guesswork.
Tired of feeling uncomfortable in their clothes.
Tired of obsessing over food, then feeling guilty when willpower runs out.
And tired of a world that keeps telling them skinnier is better — even though they know, deep down, that health is about so much more than a number on the scales.

If that sounds like you, I want you to know this first:

You’re not broken.
And it’s not a willpower problem.

Why I do this work

For a long time, I was frustrated — both personally and professionally — by the diet industry as a whole.

It’s built on restriction, short-term results, quick fixes, and making women feel like they’ve failed if they can’t keep it up. It reduces complex, intelligent, busy women to numbers: calories, macros, weight, rules.

But women aren’t numbers.
We’re individuals — with different bodies, hormones, histories, stress loads, and mindset patterns.

I’ve lived the frustration of trying to “eat right” while dealing with my own health challenges, feeling confused by conflicting advice, and wondering why something that was meant to improve health so often left women feeling worse about themselves.

What never sat right with me was this idea that the goal should be skinny.

Skinny isn’t health.
Skinny doesn’t equal energy, confidence, or happiness.
Feeling well, nourished, strong, and at home in your body does.

I knew there had to be a better way — one that focused on making the body healthy first, so weight loss could happen naturally as a result.

That’s what finally made everything click when I found Metabolic Balance — not as another “plan,” but as a personalised, body-led approach that respects individuality, supports metabolism, and actually makes sense in real life.

How I work with women

Most of the women I work with are incredible at looking after everyone else — partners, children, families, careers — but feel completely lost when it comes to their own health.

They feel guilty for putting themselves last… and guilty again when they try to change and it doesn’t stick.

My role isn’t to give you another set of rules to follow.

It’s to help you understand your body, nourish it properly, and build habits that fit into your real life — not a perfect one.

When you work with me, you’ll feel deeply supported — and yes, I’ll also call you on your BS when needed 😉

I grew up in a restaurant in South Africa, even helped manage it

I trained as a cordon bleu chef and cooked on super yachts for years

I'm a busy mum to 2 teenage boys - how did that happen? Well, thats when the super yachts stopped anyway!

I’m a big believer in real food, home cooking, and keeping things simple

I love helping women feel confident in their bodies and in the kitchen again

And yes — I’ll always choose health, humour, and common sense over food rules. And don't forget delicious food too.!

Oh yes... and don't forget, I love a good glass of wine or 2 on the weekends!
